This week we interviewed Samatha Pixler.
We stumbled upon her IG account and immediately feel in love with her pack of 5 dogs, her beautiful pictures with Denis her fiancé and her love for Walt Disney.

Samantha has a university degree in communications and recently dipped into marketing.

She cannot imagine a house without books and is an avid traveller.

What makes you an Alexa K Woman?
How would you define yourself?

Alexa K embodies the spirit of the wolf and encourages women to be strong, resourceful, and authentic to one's self. These particular attributes are what guide me through my own life's journey. 

In what ways do you embrace your Wolf Spirit?
Wolves are such a beautiful and majestic species and I have always been drawn to them.  Maybe this is the reason I have five dogs!

What three items would you never leave home without?
Usually my own wolf pack of dogs, hand sanitizer, and my cell phone 

​How do you define your personal style?
My personal style is classic comfort. I usually tend to stick to classic staples: a great pair of jeans, loafers, a warm cardigan or blazer, and the biggest sweaters. I'm always looking for comfort. ​

What are you inspired by, or what motivates you?
I find a lot of inspiration and motivation from my fiancé, actually. Not only is he an entrepreneur of several financial companies, but he is a motivational speaker and author of over 14 books! He's always looking to improve himself and take it to the next level. I absolutely love his ambition. 

What woman/women do you admire, or who inspires you? (Still alive or not) 100 percent m

How did you get into your career? 
I graduated with a degree in communication with a focus in public relations and a minor in law and social thought. I was a public relations coordinator for several years and recently, I've dipped into the marketing side of things. 

What is one thing that most people would be surprised to know about you?  
​I have a Beauty and the Beast stained glass rose tattoo on my rib.

Imagine that you were featured on the cover of an international magazine in the year 2020, what would the title of your feature article say or be about? 
Crazy Dog Lady has Adopted 20 More Dogs!

What new ventures/events/plans are you looking forward to for the rest of this year? 
My fiancé and I love to travel and we made a pact to experience as much of the world as we can. We have an intense schedule of traveling this summer and we are so excited! We will be traveling to Australia, Alaska, Germany, Russia, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, and Estonia. We will also be getting married in Maui this year and that's the most exciting adventure of them all. 

Where do you see yourself and/or your career in the next 5 years?
God willing, still traveling the world with Dennis and our future children. I would also like to write a book of my own at some point in my life. I'm obsessed with Pride and Prejudice fan fiction and that's something I'd like to try myself. 

What is your favorite quote or what is a statement/mantra you try to live by?
A mantra I try to live by is to "Collect Moments, Not Things." ​

What makes you an Alexa K Woman? How would you define yourself?
Alexa K represents a label for strong and intuitive woman, this is exactly what I feel and love about myself as a woman. Since I have passed the age of 40, I am more confident of who I am and who I want to be. I have learned to love myself for who and what I am.

In what ways do you embrace your Wolf Spirit?
I embrace it when showing strength and unity with other women - sisterhood! I trust myself and my pack. The idea behind the Alexa K brand has touched my heart and I live my life according to it's philosophy.
What  three items would you never leave home without?
My daughter- my phone -my purse - and my Alexa K earrings which I wear very often and have become part of my basic outfit;-))  

How do you define your personal style?
It all depends on my mood ;-))
I like to wear comfortable and sporty elegant clothes. But I am very feminine and love all girlie stuff and dresses. The 50's and 60's inspire me...
​I would love to be a woman back in those days.

What are you inspired by, or what motivates you?
I am motivated by life itself- that I am healthy and fit-my daughter motivates me and I can recognise myself in her. I am a proactive woman who likes to take the lead and get things done.
​What is one thing that people would be surprised to know about you?
I don't take myself too serious and I am very easy going.

What new ventures/events/plans are you looking forward to for the rest of this year?
To successfully promote Supergirl, my first book and Wondaworld, my first makeup line.

Where do you see yourself and/or your career in the next 5 years?
In a happy relationship and hopefully healthy with a business that has expanded successfully.

I am a woman who keeps total control over her own life, and I also guide or encourage others (especially women) to do the same!
 
In what ways do you embrace your Wolf Spirit?
I take the lead in any social interaction, whether it is the organization of a family get-together, a birthday or a major party... I like to keep the strings in my own hand.  Furthermore, I am loyal to the ones I love, and have a strong spirit to achieve my life goals and make my dreams come true.

How do you define your personal style?
Original, different, trend-setting.
What three items would you never leave home without? 
Housekey ;-), Phone, Wallet.

What is one thing that most people would be surprised to know about you?
I am very much interested in Chakra.

What woman/women do you admire, or who inspires you? 
I don't particularly admire a specific person, but rather get inspired by certain characters played in series or films: Basic Instinct - the patient, Gossip Girl - Blair, Sex and the City - Samantha, Woman on Top, etc.: strong women, leading and making a difference!

What makes you an Alexa K Woman? How would you define yourself?
I think my inner strength, my unapologetic confidence, and my genuine love for all women defines me as an Alexa K woman. It baffles me that there is a war that we wage on our own sex. It’s hard enough to be a girl, I think we need to embrace each other and build each other up, which is just one of several reasons (another being the fact that Alexa K supports Wolf conservation projects) that I am so happy to be a part of the Alexa K brand.
 
In what ways do you embrace your Wolf Spirit?
When I was younger, my anxiety was out of control, so my dad told me a story about the two wolves that are constantly fighting in your mind. One wolf is good and positive, he believes in you and knows you can overcome anything you set your mind to. Its opponent is the opposite. This wolf is negative and tells you that you can’t do it, that you will always fail. He asked me if I knew which wolf would win the fight and I said I didn't know. He told me it’s, “The one you feed”, that it was up to me which wolf would win. From then on I have tried my best to feed the right wolf and I think that parable has helped me overcome a lot of obstacles in my life.
What three items would you never leave home without?
My phone, my wallet, and my powder compact!
 
How do you define your personal style?
I would say I’m pretty “consistently inconsistent” when it comes to my personal style. I love all types of looks, I can go from dressing classy and chic paired with a rebellious hairdo, to wearing full face glam while rockin’ some ripped “boyfriend jeans” and a baggy t-shirt!

What are you inspired by, or what motivates you?
MUSIC. Music is such an inspiration to me and can get me through just about anything! Also, the strong women in my family inspire me daily and remind me that I can do so much more than I think I can! I’m also inspired by successful women in various industries/movies/books and people who overcome their fears and demons to do something amazing!
 
What woman/women do you admire, or who inspires you? (Still alive or not)
My mother! My mother is the strongest woman I know. I also admire every woman in history that has overcome adversity, and any type of hardship. Women who continued to follow their dreams or do the right thing, despite all that would go against them.
 
Where does your personal inspiration come from?
Mostly music, movies, and books
 
How did you get into your career?
In 2011, the town I live in was devastated by an enormous fire that burned down over 1,000 homes and killed two people. It was the most destructive wildfire fire in Texas history. My family had to be evacuated, we almost lost our house. That’s what motivated me to start volunteering at the local Fire Department.
 
What is one thing that most people would be surprised to know about you?
Most people I meet are surprised to find out that I'm a firefighter. My friends and family have always known me to pursue my[music, they were very surprised when I started down the first responder path! However, the people I work with at the fire department are very surprised when they find out I sing and have a YouTube channel haha!
 
What new ventures/events/plans are you looking forward to for the rest of this year?
My entire family is going on a five-day[cruise at the end of the year, I can’t wait!!
 
Where do you see yourself and/or your career in the next 5 years?
I hope to be a professional Firefighter 2 and have a successful YouTube channel!!

In what ways do you embrace your Wolf Spirit?
I try to stay the original version of myself, at all costs.

How do you define your personal style?
I like to wear clothes that are chic, stylish, effortlessly elegant and quite minimal. I don't feel very well in outfits, that are, in some way, too complicated. Because, I think, dress should let us see the person, wearing it, not overshadow them. I treat my face, hair or shoulders as part of my statement “accessories”. When I create my outfit, I consider, which of these “accessories” I want to let stand out. 
What are you inspired by, or what motivates you?
The unceasing desire to keep my life exciting. That desire motivates me to learn new things, visit new places, starting career in an unknown area. And that desire also influenced my choice of the life partner. 
 
What woman/women do you admire, or who inspires you? (Still alive or not)
​Since I remember I've always looked up to Coco Chanel, the most incredible entrepreneur of all times. I admire, how she managed to be herself and basically build the entire business on that. She ignored the rules of the then society and did what she wanted to do. It is not easy to do so for a woman, these days, and it was nearly impossible in her times.
I also admire Zaha Hadid for similar reasons. The still alive woman I find inspiring is Amal Alamudin Clooney, because of her work as a human rights attorney. And the source of inspiration for me is also my mom, because I don't know anyone else with such a broad range of knowledge. I'm also proud that she is a very open minded person.
How did you get into your career?
From a very young age I knew, that I want to do something creative and probably work in media. It was an obvious decision for me, to go study media and communication. I had been working in this area for years and gained experience from the different types of media, from art and culture focused radio to the business and economy magazine. But I'm an extremely visual person. I'm obsessed with design, fashion and photography. I wanted to make my stories visual. Starting my blog was an important step for me. It gave me an opportunity to show my other skills. Thanks to that, creative direction is now an important part of my work. 
 
Imagine that you were featured on the cover of an international magazine in the year 2020, what would the title of your feature article say or be about?
I'm not sure, but it is likely that the article would be somehow connected to the women empowerment. I think that is the hottest topic of this century. Until women get the same opportunities and status as men, and the real protection from violence and abuse, the world will not move on for better, in any other areas. If someone started to study the causes of major problems of the world, they would find out that it has a lot to do with the unequal status of women in most of the countries. And that is something that all the women need to understand at the first place, and then all the people.

What new ventures/events/plans are you looking forward to for the rest of this year?
I have a lot of work plans right now and I'm looking forward to that. I feel inspired, so I hope, will turn that to an awesome content. I hope I will also travel for some trips, in between.

Well, I think it's a mix of the characteristics mentioned above, plus I guess I could add confident. Being a strong woman and at the same time, never forget our soft and caring side.[G1]

How did you get into your career?
I have always dreamt of working in television, already as a child. I believed in my dream and did everything I could to go towards this goal. Even when people told me it wasn’t possible, I kept on believing and working hard to reach my objectives. It’s a matter of faith and self-confidence[and of course, never giving up.
 
What is one thing that most people would be surprised to know about you?
I have been a flight attendant for Swissair when I was 20 years old.
 
What new ventures/events/plans are you looking forward to for the rest of this year?
I am looking forward to shooting a new program for the Christmas period for RTS (Radio Télévision Suisse). It’s gonna be a quiz show which will be broadcasted every day during the holiday season. And afterward, I'm very much looking forward to leaving for a 2 weeks vacation to Miami and Belize with my lover. [G2]
